A lot of work has been done since May, to make the servers ready for current Micevo and Potato users to be able to log in, set up their account, transfer their data and finally start working. The opening of the server is set for first week of September .
The central IT will run some test on their power supply 22 September. The cluster will therefore not be available to user. If all goes well the cluster should be back the day after on 23. Normally the test should only disturb the head nodes which means that running jobs and schedule jobs should remain but no new jobs will be submitted. As this is the first time for us to whitness such event we cannot guarantee that everything goes as planned. We invite all users to check that their jobs finished naturally.
We will soon start a series of meeting to inform all users about the proper usage of the new servers and answer their questions.
Thanks to the test users and the first users we now have a starting list of software. We will keep it as up-to-date as possible
The documentation is approved by test users. A brand new documentation platform is now in place. Any information about the server can be found there. We need users participation to improve the documentation and make it as useful as possible to all users.
